Q. What exactly is a Home Performance Assessment?

A.
A Home Performance Assessment is performed on your home by a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified technician and consists of two phases.

The first phase of the Home Performance assessment, the technician assesses your home as a “total system,” completes a thorough inspection of the living space, attic, basement (or crawl spaces) and performs a number of computerized tests and reports on the current conditions in your home,

The second phase consists of the participating BPI Accredited Contractor using the results from the assessment to develop a workscope for proposed improvements, including a cost and energy savings estimate.
